Ms. Dexter donated her mother’s vibrant color floral house dress and a beautiful beige doily to the quilt project.

Because of Ms. Dexter’s mother’s connection to the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, visual storyteller and quilt creator Lisa G. Moore used the dress donated by Eddis Dextor to create the stained-glass windows in the church and for Ms. Dexter’s hand reaching up from the church.
