The Eatonville Branch celebrated Juneteenth with a variety of speakers.
On June 18, 2024, the Eatonville Branch of the Orange County Library System hosted a Juneteenth Celebration. Sara Brown, the manager of the branch, hosted the event. Ruthi Critton was the cohost, and is a descendant of Joe Clark, the Founding Father of Eatonville. Two family members of Ruthi Critton, also descendants of Joe Clark, joined the celebration virtually. The virtual speakers were Dr. Christy S. Coleman and Donielle Alexander-Blake. The speakers touched on aspects of Juneteenth, freedom, and growing up in Eatonville.
