The Edge was generally listed in the Orlando Sentinel as being open from Wednesdays to Saturdays at 9 P.M., though events took place on any day of the week. The venue alternated between alternative rock performances and house music performances, on some days hosting more than one event a night.

In 1995, The Edge filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The venue remained open as The Edge until July 7, 1996, when it closed and then re-opened as a country music venue in August 1996: 8 Seconds.
